Which one are you” Doer, thinker, a combo you think about it and don’t take action. Wanna change that’ There are many ways to become a person of action and what works for someone else may not work for you.

Action people are organized and know exactly how to proceed from one project to another seamlessly and without effort. They know how to get shit done!! While those of us who aren’t action takers feel like we flounder. We feel disorganized, haplessly moving one piece of paper to another location without knowing why. Action takers feed on taking action it’s what gives them energy, it’s what drives them.

Flounders at the end of the day are still floundering and can’t understand why little to nothing has been accomplished yet they are so exhausted!

To make the change from floundering to action taker is all about organization. Decide where you need to start do you need to make a to-do list and prioritize it. Do you need to put the most important ones at the top and each time you complete a goal or project scratch it off and feel the satisfaction. This works best for me. I LOVE checking the boxes as I’m on the way to my goal.

When everything on the list is finished, treat yourself. Even if you don’t quite complete the list in one day, go ahead and celebrate your victories. This gives you something to look forward to and gives you incentive to accomplish more. When Jerry Seinfeld first started out he challenged himself to write 1 joke per-day. He then bought a calendar and put it on his wall and every day he wrote a joke it make a big X. The goal was to not break the streak!

I love list making, but it’s possible for you to get into a rut of getting ready to get ready and not taking ACTION!! I struggle with focus and one of the best things I do is time block and do what I really want to accomplish, I do it first thing in the AM!!

Now if it’s a task that I really don’t want to do, I also have a You Tube highlight reel that I listen to get me in the zone. Based on the video I feel like a Tom Brady coming out of the tunnel on Superbowl Sunday.

This energy will go away, so do as much as you can before it leaves your body.

What I do know is that when I’m moving toward my goals I’m fired up and when I hit my goals cue Alicia Keyes, This Girl Is On Fire!

I use to struggle with not getting things done and playing the guilt and blame game. Then by making this simple shift to have at least 1 hour of productivity things started to shift for me in my health and my business.

Change the way your think and you will change the way you act.

If you want to have the courage to own your body and your life like a boss you could benefit from my Fabulously Thriving Framework.

Fear is something that holds you back. It’s like a ball and chain refusing to let you make advancements in your life because you worry about what could happen or how you’ll handle certain situations.

You can adopt a combination of physical and mental fitness programs to silence fear and to empower you to take you to a new level. You can become fit, fast and fearless as you improve your body’s strength and fortify your mind against invasions of self doubt.

Don’t mistake strong people as those who never feel fear. They do. There’s just a difference in how they react to it. Instead of running, or burying their head in the sand as many of us do, they stand and fight – turning their fear into a powerful weapon against obstacles that stand in their way.

What happens when you feel fearful’ You have a physical reaction. Can you name it for yourself’ It might include a nauseous feeling in the pit of your stomach, a weakening of your arms and legs, and maybe even a bit of lightheadedness.

You can honor the reaction your body is giving you – it’s actually being kind trying to warn you that something you dislike is taking place. But then you have to thank it for showing up and advise your fears to sit back and watch you take control. A coach I’ve worked with in the past used to say “lean into your fear”. It’s our fears that are indicators for something that we need to do. Now if you feel that someone is chasing you, don’t lean into that, but you know the type of fear that I’m talking about. It’s the fear of taking a big step in a direction that may get something that you really want. It could be running a marathon, doing a Spartan type race or going for a promotion at work or attempting start a new business or anything that you feel draw to do.

What are you scared of in life’ Is it all of the unknown circumstances – the “what ifs'” that haunt your world’ If this is a fear, then you can work on mindset exercises that help you quiet uncertainty and allow life to take its course because you know you can handle whatever may happen.

Is it something physical that frightens you’ Maybe you had a run-in with a mean dog, or you got out of an abusive relationship. You can empower yourself with self defense training like martial arts and strength building exercises that boost your confidence in being able to handle these situations.

Sometimes people aren’t really sure of what they’re afraid of – they just know they experience on-going anxiety (sometimes over things like crossing a bridge or being in a place around too many people).

If this describes you, then you can tap into some training that will give you back control over your life – so that you refuse to allow a situation to dictate to you how you will feel or react any longer.

In action the average American only does 17 minutes of activities/day.WHOA!!! On average Americans sit for 13 hours/day. According to James Levine, an endocrinologist and researcher at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. The human body is designed to move and You need to move your body. If you stop your body, idle it—which sitting is—it crumbles on every level.”

Some call sitting a disease, linking inactivity to cancer and other diseases. So do you have sitting disease’

Sitting Disease is another term for a sedentary lifestyle. If you:

Sit in your car while you drive or take the train to work

Sit at a desk all day while you work

Sit on the couch when you come home from work

You probably have sitting disease.

And here’s the most shocking news…

…exercising for twenty to thirty minutes a day isn’t enough.

Sure, exercising helps burn calories. However, scientists are finding out that a sedentary lifestyle is one of the primary causes for:

Diabetes

Cancer

Heart disease

So What Can You Do to Live Longer, Healthier and prevent Sitting Disease’

Your body was designed to move. Movement triggers many beneficial functions in your body including hormone release, balanced metabolism, better brain function and even better sleep.

The good news is that you don’t have to engage in intense physical activity. In fact, continuous moderate activity is preferred. Simply walking places instead of driving each day helps.

Take breaks from your desk and walk. When you talk on the phone, stand instead of sitting. If you can walk on a treadmill at home while you watch television – great!

If you can get a standing desk at your work go for it. You can lose up to 11 pounds/year by…
Tweet This

A simple and easy tool to Avoid Sitting Disease

One great way to make sure you are avoiding sitting disease is to get an activity tracker. It can be as simple as pedometer or as sophisticated as Nike Fuel band, Fitbit or Jawbone Up.

The 10,000 step a day is a great way to start.

Yesterday in my blog challenge we were asked to come up with goals for the next 30 days. That was challenging, but the most challenging part of it for me was taking it to the next step. You see I’m awesome with coming up with ideas, but sometimes I struggle to take the next step OR the next step overwhelms me OR I get side tracked by something else. Well not this time! I’m focused and committed to making my dreams come true by the end of the year.

Action is the foundational key to all success.
Pablo Picasso

I’m not sure about you, but sometimes we just get stuck in our habits and patterns that we can’t seem to break free! Well. I’m ready to break free. My mission to help women embrace their strength and their power. I feel like I can no longer contain it. It’s time for it to come out!!

Today’s challenge was to come up with 3 tools that will help you stay on track. Here are my three tool:

Time management — purchased a book that I can track my daily to dos. I’m also finishing reading and immediately begin in-acting The 7 Minute Solution. I will also block time in my schedule DAILY to devote to marketing and promoting my business.

Meditation — I need to learn to sit quietly. I will use my Ipod and set a time for 5 minutes. I have index cards of mantras that I will repeat to help me grow my belief in growing my business and helping my clients achieve their goals. I will continue to read my Daily Book of Positive quotes to help center me and keep my thoughts positive. My affirmation: I confidently go after success!

Plugging in — I will listen to 3 podcasts/week. This time instead of listening I will take any tips or techniques and find a way to implement them. I will also get back to daily posting on Facebook and Twitter.

Apply yourself. Get all the education you
can, but then, by God, do something.
Don’t just stand there, make it happen.
Lee Iacocca
