Staycation– is that your summer plan’
So here we are at the first day of summer, do you know what you are doing this summer’ First does it feel like summer where you are’ Here in the north east it’s a dreary and rainy day and the best shot of seeing the sun in next Saturday. Leaves me saying rain rain go away!
With today being the summer solstice, do you look at your calendar and think, what are doing this summer and most importantly can you afford to do anything this summer’ Many this year are planning staycations, yes this is a word. Current Wiki definition” Staycation: an individual or family stays at home and relaxes at home or takes day trips from their home to area attractions. Some staycationers also like to follow a set of rules, such as setting a start and end date, planning ahead, and avoiding routine, with the goal of creating the feel of a traditional vacation.*
When I was a kid, we did this all the time. There was no term it’s what we did.
Right now I don’t have any plans for a true summer vacation. I am going to Las Vegas for a fitness competition, but that is SO not a vacation!! So, I’m not sure what are plans are, I may take a trip to visit my parents in Florida. Yes, I know Florida is the summer. But I am freak, I love the heat!!!!
